Each week, I receive an e-mail that details what’s happening with the pregnancy and fetus. It’s pretty interesting stuff: stats on the baby’s approximate length, weight, and size as related to an everyday object. This morning’s missive said the baby is over 15 inches long, weighs around 2.5 pounds, and is the size of a pair of tennis shoes. Exciting, sure, but the best part was this: I am now officially in the third trimester. That means I will never be in the first or second trimester again. It really is the homestretch, and the relief is overwhelming. Thank god.
